We have worked and exhibited alongside each other for many years but have never worked on one collaborative artwork. After tackling building a house together – a project that remains ongoing – we wondered if our mutual understanding of each other’s artistic practice and world views would result in a collaborative artwork that effectively teased out common grounds and differences around materiality, construction, and anxieties about the future.
